Vocal Training
Sue offers vocal training to students wanting to explore or claim their voice, either for singing, acting, or public speaking.
Apprentice Vocal Instructor (Starting January, 2012)
A one year programme to develop the skills and confidence to mentor vocal students to claim, maintain or rebuild their own natural, healthy voices. It is a humble and sacred trust to guide someone into their voice, whether for singing, speaking, or building self-confidence and awareness. It is therefore most important that we give our clients/students the best conditioning possible, and at the very least “do no harm”. Upon successful completion, you will also be part of an emerging association of collaborative teachers committed to keeping vocal function free and easy.
The year includes your own personal exploration and development of your voice, sitting in on classes taught by your mentor, teaching in the presence of your mentor, assigned readings, attendance at monthly discussions, workshops and master classes. While the main focus will be on vocal function and development for performance related uses, other workshops and classes will be held with working professionals in the fields of speech pathology, psychology, education, acting, piano, developing your own business, and others relevant to round out the training.
